Sophie Park is Professor of Primary Care and Clinical Education at the University of Oxford and a GP in Hertfordshire. She also holds an Honorary Professorship at University College London. Internationally recognised for her research on clinical education and the primary care workforce, Sophie champions patient involvement and partnership in education and research. Her work focuses on workforce sustainability and the organisation of primary healthcare to support equitable, effective care and learning systems.
Sophie supervises PhD, EdD and MD students and leads several national initiatives to build research capacity. She chairs the SAPC Education Research Group and the RCGP Scientific Foundation Board, and co-leads the NIHR Clinical Education Research Incubator and the NIHR SPCR Evidence Synthesis Working Group. Her leadership supports patient and public involvement, practitioner research grants, and the development of future academic primary care leaders.
