Matthew Lievesley is joint lead on co-design for Workforce Voices. Based in Northumbria University’s Design School, he applies design methods (research and practice) to improving health and care services.
He has developed collaborative co-design methods, which draw on the lived-experiences of staff-teams, patients and their carers/families to improve service-pathways and shape person-centred care. With this aim, he has worked with a range of collaborators including: AgeUK, Hitachi, NESTA, NHS Trusts (healthcare service design), Tiny Lives Trust (neonatal support), EPSRC (humanising health-tech) and NIHR (co-design).
