Ko-Le is a design researcher focusing on bringing multiple stakeholders together to make change through co-design and service design.
My research in design focuses on co-creating safe and inclusive spaces with and for marginalised communities, empowering them to reclaim and share their lived experiences. As an experienced ethnographer and filmmaker, I bring qualitative expertise to diverse professional contexts, including healthcare, design, and social work, to inform policy-making and practice.
I am an active member of the Gender Violence and Abuse Research Network and the Design Feminism Research Group at Northumbria University. I also contribute to the Designing Entangled Social Innovation in Asia-Pacific (DESIAP) network and previously held a research fellow position funded by the AHRC, where I co-designed an inclusive, peer-led learning infrastructure for women-identifying artists in South East Asia.
Currently, I am involved in a long-term collaborative project addressing the lack of mental health support for children affected by the Family Court System.
