Working closely with the policymakers who shape the health and care system will be essential to ensuring our work is timely and effective. Understanding the changing policy context will mean we are targeting our research in the right areas, on the right questions, and mean that our outputs can reach those audiences as soon as possible to inform future developments.
We understand that for research to have impact, its findings need to be available and accessible to those who can make use of it. For our work, we know there are audiences within the NHS, professional regulators, and government who we will want to reach. We want to achieve this by building relationships early on.
What’s in it for policymakers
- Opportunities to make sure outputs are relevant and realistic.
- Receiving targeted policy briefing notes, linking our research to your needs.
- Opportunities to take part in research, contributing directly to our learning.
- Contribution to the development of new, affiliated projects, which can speak directly to policy needs.
